An Innovative Platform to Challenge, Inspire, and Engage
Veterinary practices face enormous challenges in the years ahead and finding the solutions may mean completely challenging our existing veterinary business models and ways of thinking. To help achieve this objective, we invite Principals, Practice Managers and other key team members to join us at our regular ‘Think Tank’ events, both for small and large animal practices. We aim to have challenging, engaging discussions around the topics affecting independent practice today.
Discussing the Topics Affecting Independent Practice Today
In previous events we’ve held discussions as varied as: business restructuring and succession planning, coping with resource shortages, protecting employee mental health and stock shortage challenges. However, this is just a snapshot of the wide range of subjects that Think Tank tackles, with the end goal of collaborating to affect sustainable change and drive growth within the independent vet practice sector.

Large Animal/Equine 2022 – Planning for the Future of the Group
Farm Animal and Equine Buysure members gathered at the Hawkstone Park Hotel and Spa for 24 hours dedicated to assessing the progress of the group and future-proofing our businesses. Alongside engaging presentations by sponsors Boehringer and Norbrook, there were a selection of equine specific and farm animal specific talks and a workshop took place to get veterinary business owners thinking about the ways they could shape their veterinary practice for the future.
Small Animal 2022 – Solid Foundations for Growth
Last year’s Small Animal Think Tank, set in the picturesque Moor Hall Hotel and Spa, was fully booked out with independent veterinary practice owners and managers! In the wake of some serious disruption across the veterinary industry, we took this opportunity to look at the ways in which Vetsure, and our network members, could focus on their business structure and ensure that it is flexible and attractive enough for future shareholders – not only to ensure succession but also to drive growth.
Small Animal 2023 – AI: The start of a revolution in veterinary medicine or the death of traditional practice?
Held at the beautiful Pendley Manor, nestled in the Hertfordshire countryside, our 2023 Small Animal Think Tank took place. With guest speaker, Ben Mein, the two-day event consisted of a number of talks surrounding AI in the veterinary world. Independent practice owners, managers and veterinary staff, were able to discuss and assess the impact AI will have on their businesses and were given the opportunity to collaborate in various workshops.
